PresenteD by dr. Karen Pierce, PHD Dr. Pierce is co-director of the university of california-san diego (UCSD) autism center of excellence (ace) and a professor at ucsd's neurosciences department. Dr. Pierce has been studying autism for the past 20 years and is a leading expert on the neural and clinical phenotype of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The attendee will be able to:
1. Discuss at least two modalities in the assessment process of a child with probable Autism Spectrum Disorder. 2. Describe how the “eye gaze” examination is utilized to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder. 3. State how Sleep f MRI is utilized as a research tool to study functional brain development. |

NOW is the time to sign up or renew your CSNO membership – for the annual year that began July 1, 2017 and continues through June 30, 2018. Take advantage of the $99 reduced rate (after September 30th the rate will increase to $125). Students and Retired school nurses can take advantage of the reduced rate of $50 whenever they join.
